Danieley L 103!

I have to start out by saying I have a great group of girlfriends. We, the eight of us, have been friends since college. We have been through so much together - ups, downs and in betweens! I was able to share with them at our first ever reunion that Connor Francis would be joining the group the following year, they were with me at my dad's funeral, weddings, sending me care packages when I was scared and in the hospital and everything else that goes along with being friends for so long. We started these reunions three years ago and we are still going strong! We had such a great time laughing, eating, shopping and spending time as friends. I just think it's so great that we take the time and effort to make these happen every year. It is also fun to see how far things have come in a year. We laughed when we realized I still lived in Colorado and had a newborn at our reunion last year - and Reaggie was still in her momma's tummy!
Connor was so good on the plane - he listened to his momma and only had one little crying jag where I knew his ears were bothering him. A kind, kind woman behind me gave him some animal crackers to chew on and it was just what the doctor ordered!

He had SO much fun with his girlfriend Reagan. They seriously loved each other and were just cute as can be! We had a huge photo shoot on Klein's nice camera, so those will come at a later date :) They squealed with laughter when they saw each other and I felt guilty taking him away when it was time to leave! ha!

Connor also loved all of his aunt's! I came in to see him being bounced, squealing with delight on the air mattress surrounded by pretty ladies :) I may be in trouble in the future, ha!
We went out on Saturday night and saw the best 80's cover band, The Breakfast Club, they were a riot and we had a BLAST! I felt like we were right back in college as we were singing and dancing away. It was such a great time! I laughed as I paid for it, after getting home Connor woke up and kept me awake until 6am when we had to get up at 7am! Yikes! He is such a great little boy but not the best traveler :) He and Reaggie both knew they were on vacation too - staying up until all hours partying!! :)
I love this picture, we have so many pictures like this and I love each and every one of them :) Steph was such a great host and we had the best time - thank you for everything Stephie D!
I have some good-looking friends, don't you think!?
Connor was an absolute angel on the plane ride home and I had the best time traveling with him. We had our own row on the way home from Chicago and he just hung out, ate, read books and looked out the window. He really is the sweetest little boy and I couldn't help but snap this picture as he had his little arm "resting" on the arm rest :) We had such a great weekend and we already can't wait for next year!

Have you seen my FUR?

Poor Scoutey went to the groomer last week and left looking a lot like this....

...but came back looking like this! Ah! No fur :) The poor little stinker looks a little goofy but we still love him :)

Just Because...

I thought they were cute! Connor and I have been taking nice long walks everyday as the weather is SO NICE! We recruit Daddy and the dogs when they are home too :) Nonny walks in the morning so we miss her because we can't get out of bed that early! Ha! Notice C smelling the flowers in the top picture? That is his favorite activity in the backyard he looks at the door and sniffs and points - telling us he wants to go outside :) Too stinkin cute!

16 Months Old!

You are my sunshine, my sweet pea, my moose, my little man, my angel, my stinkpot, my honey bee.

You are sweet as can be, give the best kisses and snuggles. You LOVE to smell the flowers, play outside, go down the slide, play peek-a-boo, rub your belly, be stubborn, snuggle in bed in the mornings, snuggle with your blankie, monkey and bunny.
You are all over the place, you never stop! You would play outside all day long if we let you. Literally from sun up to sun down! You are an adventurer and we love that about you! You have the cutest little head of curls, and they get really curly when you just wake up or get hot from playing.
You love momma's water bottle - so much more than any other water bottles :) Your eyes light up when you see us, just like ours light up when we see you. You love your grandparents, aunt's, uncle's, cousins, friends and momma and daddy. You have an amazing love of life and new things. Your laugh and smile are contagious and we think you know it!
You can be very cantankerous when things aren't going your way - we are seeing some temper tantrums emerge! We are starting to get a glimpse of the "terrible two's!" :) We think your "temper tantrum" face is pretty darn cute! You have the cutest little walk and we think you are going to be running in no time! You still love the water and we can't wait for the pool to open! You brighten our days and we love to watch you - be you!

You are 16 months old and we love you more than we ever could imagine! Thank you for being you sweet boy!

Hanging Out...

in a box :)

Water Table Fun!

This little sweetie LOVES the water. He always has - the water and the outdoors have always been sources of calm for him and we love it! Bj and I both are outside the minute the weather is nice enough and outside for all long as the weather is nice! :) One of the projects I have had on the agenda for C is a water table that will also serve as a "bean, rice and anything else we have on hand" table when it isn't conducive for playing in the water. Nonny had an old Tupperware box in the garage that I promptly stole and until I screw some legs on it is standing on top of two foot rests for the patio equipment! Connor LOVED it! He stood at that table with his diaper, shirt and socks on and splashed and splashed his little heart out! One of his favorite spots in the house is the dog bowl so this was no surprise to any of us :) I pulled out all of his dollar spot water toys and he went to town! He is too sweet and we can't wait for all of the pool visits, running through the sprinkler and water table play to come this summer! After all - we think it's one of the best parts of the summer :)
After he was all done playing I stripped him down and let him run around the backyard to dry off - he looked so cute and I couldn't resist snapping a little belly picture. I love that sweet little belly and that sweet little boy!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Poor Bj, his birthday was last Monday, but I am just now getting around to posting about it! Ha, do you ever have those weeks where there is just too much going on to fit in the day? I feel like those have been my weeks here lately. All good, but very busy! We had fun celebrating Daddy's birthday! I made him a t-shirt quilt out of all of his old shirts from concerts, camp and sports events. It was really fun to look through and pick out the perfect shirts and I loved surprising him! I made a few bibs out of the t-shirts scraps for Connor and that is how I gave him the quilt...I think he was surprised! Here is Connor measuring it :) It isn't quite finished and we have a few more shirts Bj wanted to add, I am so excited though! Bj went to the Cardinals home opener in the afternoon with his Dad so we didn't do presents and cake until really close to Connor's bedtime. He may have been crying in the picture I got, but he was really happy 2 seconds before :) Right after this picture thought it was night night time :) He was so good to stay up and help his daddy open his presents!

Happy Birthday Bj, we love you so much and hope you had a great day! Sorry it took me a week to tell the blog world about your birthday :) We can't wait to see what we get into this next year!

Weekend Fun!

Whew - I am feeling so behind! We had a nice weekend, nothing exciting - but really nice! Connor went to the zoo with Aunt Jen, her friend and her son Graeyson and had a blast! They are the two cuties in the last picture snoozing away! Jen said he loved the train - we can't wait to take him back! We think Aunt Jen is pretty great though and Connor is so lucky to have her! We hung out on Saturday and went over the The Johnson's on Sunday to hang out and went to Hacienda for an early birthday dinner for Bj. It was great! The weather was just perfect and we had the best spot on the patio. Connor was great - into everything, including trying to get my margarita! :) We just had such a wonderful time, great food and great company :) After that it was home and into bed! Connor is showing off his new jammies in the first picture - that is what he did when I said "say cheese!" little cutie pie. He keeps trying to steal Bj's cups from work and Nonny's sunglasses - little turkey! That is about it - kind of a random post with some random weekend pictures :)

We hope you had a great weekend too!

Happy Easter!

I had too many cute pictures to share, so I thought I would do a little slideshow :) We had such a great Easter, it was so wonderful spending time with our friends and family. Connor was so spoiled - the easter bunny found him at our house, Auntie G's house, and Nana and Grandpa's house! The doggies had their own little easter egg hunt - that Easter bunny is good! Hope you had a wonderful Easter in your neck of the woods!

Popsicles and 15 Month Check-ups!

I know this is kind of a funny picture, but it really summed up how C's day went - a little on the "messy" side! My poor sweet boy - I got the orders to take him in for a lead screening at his 12 month appointment (they test all 12 month olds who live in homes built before 2000) and being the great mom that I am, I waited three months until the day before his 15 month check-up to do it! We had to go to the lab - it was a little out of the way and I just kept forgetting to do it. So, knowing that he had his appt. the next day I figured I should get it over with. I thought we were in for a heel prick and out the door...oh my word - it was terrible!!! I get to the lab and the lady goes, well it's just you and me you are going to have to hold him tight! I was like what?! Oh yes - she sits me down in the chair and pulls out the tourniquet and gets ready to stick him in the arm, just like she would draw blood from you or I! I got him in his bear hug and held and kissed him as tight as I could...unfortunately the nurse did not hold his arm as tight as she could and she blew his vein and had to do the OTHER SIDE! I was BESIDE myself and poor Connor was just hysterical. I was devastated and haven't felt like that since he was in the hospital where I could at least hide in the bathroom when they did things to him I couldn't watch. After she finally got all she needed we were out the the door and I was on the phone with daddy, crying that we were stopping by and Connor deserved treat after treat after treat for what he just went through! He was fine and ate a whole thing of fries on the way home :) After we got home he got what else - a popsicle! Popsicles and beautiful days make anything okay, right? He wasn't quite sure of it at first, but I gave him another one last night and dinner and he LOVED it - it was too cute :) Look at those baby legs, are they not the sweetest things? I am all about going "pants less" in the summer...ha! The next day (again cue the world's worst momma award) not being aware of the fiasco that Thursday would bring, I had scheduled C's 15 month check-up. Um...he cried the WHOLE time - he did not want that doctor anywhere near him :) I don't blame him, I would have been traumatized too!!! Dr. C said he is doing great and is pretty perfect...we couldn't agree more :)
Here are the stat's (doing these from memory...)
Weight: 22 lbs. (20th percentile)
Height: 31 inches (60th percentile)
Head Circumference: 48 inches (70th percentile)
You are looking good C - thanks for being a trooper and hanging in there this weekend :)

Kissy Face

I don't really have much to say to this one other than a smooch from my sweet boy is about the best thing in the whole world. This video was from a little while ago and now he makes sure to give everyone in the room kisses - oh he is just about as sweet as sugar can be :) We sure do love our sweet boy!

New Trick!

C has been perfecting a new trick lately...opening doors! A few weeks ago I closed the bathroom door and walked away to change the laundry. Connor usually helps me with the laundry when all of a sudden it sounded like he was in the bathroom. I went over, knocked on the door and sure enough he walked out and showed me how he flicks the handle and pushes the door open! Ah!! A few days later Nana told me he is now able to open the door to the outside by pulling the handle down and leaning back...oh lord have mercy! As of now all of the doors in the house are now locked :)
