Being Silly!

We have had SO much rain here this April - I kind of feel like we are all just going to float away. Don't get me wrong, I love a good thunderstorm but I think I am wearing thin of them :) We are so lucky that the tornado didn't get us last week - one terminal at the airport was destroyed! Nana brought over the blocks today so she and C had something fun to play with - I was cleaning up the kitchen and I came back and found him on the table! Dada snapped this picture of him in the bucket and then he actually posed for this last one so he could see what he looked like :) Do you love his dirty little face? Who is this kids momma?! :)

Easter Eggs

Somebody's momma forgot to get vinegar for the easter eggs so we had pastel eggs :) I don't think it bothered the little boogie - he told me "Momma, Connor had fun dying Easter eggs!" :) Sweet little thing.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! We hope everyone had a great day and the Easter Bunny was good to you :) C was pretty excited about the Easter Bunny visiting - he was telling me everything he hoped the he brought, it was pretty funny :) He accidentally found one of the gifts the bunny dropped off early on Saturday night and loved it...a new set of CARS cars! He had so much fun playing with them - and thought the Easter Bunny was pretty great.
He had to hunt for his two little Easter baskets and he loved it, it was TOO fun! He got the biggest kick out of the fact that Easter bunny left one in his cozy coupe! :) He pulled everything out and had too much fun showing us all of his new treasures. He made out like a bandit - the Easter bunny stopped at all the houses - g's, nana/grandpa's, nene/pa-pa's, and nonny and uncle daves!
He loved his new "chappa-chappa" and made sure to put it on all of us - the Easter bunny didn't realize it was cotton candy flavored, it was from the $1 spot at Target! Ha! Since it has been raining we have been utilizing the rain boots, how cute is he?! He was all ready to head outside and go on his Easter egg hunt!
He was too funny - some of the eggs had cars in them and some had an m&m - he quickly realized he could pop the eggs open, eat the candy and toss it aside! He was too funny running all over the place, we had the best time watching him.

Don't my boys look so handsome? I seriously squealed when I got C dressed I thought he looked way too cute! He was rough housing while I was getting him ready and I ended up getting a car thrown in my face but my frustration quickly gave way when I saw this precious kiddo in his little sweater vest :)  I know the options aren't as great for boys - but I really do love dressing my little sugar! Heaven help us though if we ever have a girl :)
After spending the morning at home it was off to Uncle Bill and Uncle David's for brunch! The whole family (including Nana, Grandpa and Aunt Jen) came and it was wonderful! We had the best time hanging out and C was perfect. Momma worries a little because Uncle Bill and Uncle David don't have a Connor proof home (read lots of expensive breakable things!) but he was great. He had so much fun hanging out with everyone and we enjoyed a wonderful day! We feel so blessed this Easter and are so happy that we are able to spend the day with out wonderful families!

Easter Village 2011

Hi friends! I am sorry I have been so boring lately - a) my child runs from the camera, b) we aren't really up to anything exciting and c) I have been trying to stay away from the computer - I am on it way too much so I have been taking a break. We enjoyed our weekend here, they go by so fast! We live in Seattle now, did you know? So I have been getting lots done inside with all the rain we have had :) We did venture out to Easter Village again this year, we just love it! C once again was NOT a fan of the Easter Bunny - he was velcroed to my hip, I couldn't stop laughing :)

He liked looking at all of the animals but really didn't want to touch any of them except for the lamb and dogs. He loved the bunnies at the end too, it was really funny. He also loved watching the ducks and chicks, he thought they were really cute :)

He LOVED the dog show this year - oh his little face was SO sweet and just lit up when they started doing all of the agility competitions, it was just precious. I love watching the world through this sweet little boys eyes, it is so fun to watch him having a good time.
We were so exciting that Nana and Grandpa braved the rain to come with us, we think they had a good time too! The camera was acting up so the pictures are a light, but too cute not to share! We enjoyed the rest of our Easter Weekend too!

Happy Day, Dada!

Bj celebrated his 33rd birthday this past Tuesday! I love birthdays so it was fun to make him a special dinner and a gooey butter cake! C and I went to the store and picked everything out and he had fun helping me make dada's cake. He usually says "happy day!" but has actually started getting "happy birthday" out - he is growing up way too fast! Connor made sure to eat his whole dinner  because he knew he would get to help daddy blow out the candles and eat his cake :)

He did a great job helping daddy blow out the candles! I didn't even think about that when I put powdered sugar all over the top of the cake, haha! Connor told us he wanted daddy to have 4 candles so that was that. We had fun celebrating as a family on Monday night and Aunt Jen watched C on Tuesday night while we went to dinner with Nana and Grandpa. We went to the cutest little restaurant, Citizen Kane and had the BEST steaks. BJ had never been and I hadn't been in too long - dinner was fabulous! We are going to the fish fry tomorrow night and we will celebrate again with my side of the family. We love celebrating! We love you Bj and hope you had a great birthday!!

Go Cards!!

We had a beautiful day on Saturday, perfect for our outing to the Cardinals game! We are all pretty excited about baseball season and it was so fun to enjoy a game early in the season before it gets nice and hot :) Connor, though the pictures don't show it, was so excited to go to the baseball game! He looked so cute in his little jersey from Nana and Grandpa, you know I took 200 pictures :)

We were so glad Uncle Bubba could come with us, we think he had a great time too! Seriously, C was not about smiling for pictures - I think I have taken so many pictures of him he is immune to smiling :)

It was kids day at the park and C got a "big bat" - I thought he and baby looked so cute waiting for the gates to open! It was a mad dash to get in their once they did, it was pretty funny! Once we had our bat in hand, we played at the little fred bird playground and then went up and had some lunch and then to our seats.
This boy ate 30lbs of peanuts, and I am not kidding you. Bj brings them home from work (because they are the best!) and he wouldn't stop eating them. I told Bj and Davey we were lucky that he isn't allergic otherwise I don't know what he would have done the whole game! He was SO GOOD the whole time, even skipping his nap. I was so proud of him. He was totally hamming it up with the people behind us, and they thought he was hilarious. He told them all of our names, picked him nose, showed off his sunglasses and peanuts - it was pretty funny. He was so good, I think they were kind of sad to see us leave after the 7th inning!

This boy loves "cream" (ice cream) and isn't afraid to enjoy it to the very last drop! He was making me chuckle, he did not spill one drop of that cream anywhere :) After he was finished he made sure to clean off the seat with his wipe - we laughed that it was the cleanest seat in Busch Stadium! Ha!

He was SO excited to rid on Uncle Davey's shoulders - he had this little grin on his face the whole time! I think it is a mixture of pure happiness and exhaustion :) I thought for sure he was going to pass out in the car, but he chatted the whole way home and then played with the neighbors when we got home! It was a great day, so fun to spend time with family. We are so happy that spring and baseball season are just beginning, we are looking forward to many more memories at the ballpark!

My Boy!

I was trying to think of something to blog about when I realized that I haven't really given just an update on C in so long! I loved doing his monthly birthday posts, but I have been such a slacker about them, and the blog. I write on the blog primarily so I won't forget the funny little things that he does. So sorry for a boring picture-less post about my boy! :)
What is he up to? He is so funny, he seriously makes us laugh all the time. He is a chatterbox and talks non-stop, he is pretty much speaking in full sentences and can most of the time tell you exactly what he wants/what is going on. He repeats and hears EVERYTHING and I do mean everything. It is so funny - he hears things we aren't even sure he is listening too and then he repeats it, too funny. It has definately made for some funny conversations around our house :) He knows some words that I am just not sure where he has hears and how he knows how to use them in the correct context. He is really into big/little and things that are the "same". He finds two similar things in different sizes and likes to point out that they are the same. He now likes to show you two things and have you choose one. He usually gives you the opposite of what you wanted, still trying to prove he is in charge :) He knows all of his colors and likes to tell me when we are wearing the same color. The other day he told my "momma's shirt is red, Connor have red airplanes on his jammies. Too smart!
He still loves to play with his cars, all the time! He puts them in his "suitcase" and carries them around the house. He loves to line them up and push them around the tables. He is a coloring fool, we just have the crayon and paper out on the table at atll times. He is starting to recognize more letters (his favorite is m for momma!) and he can count to 5 on his own, and higher if we play along with him. He loves to listen to his songs in the car and likes to hear everything on repeat. He has all of his books memerized (because we read them so many times in a row!) and it's funny to watch him mouth along with you :) He is into everything and constantly moving and while it can be tiring it is one of my favorite things about him. He is really starting to get into imaginative play and I love it! I think he is going to be creative. He definately has a temper and temper tantrums that I think come along with being 2. He *thankfully* is getting out of the hitting and not sharing all the time phase and he is pretty good about sharing his toys, even his trucks which surprises me! He can be a total stinker, but he can also be the sweetest boy ever. He gives the BEST hugs and kisses and there is nothing like his little arms wrapped around my neck. I love that little boy all the time and really I am just so happy to be his momma, even though some days are harder than others I wouldn't trade being his momma for anything!
