There really isn't anything more to say than Momma loves a good porch and a hammock. I think that is just the perfect way to spend a day at the beach (after spending all day at the beach, of course) laying in the hammock with a drink and a book. I love to fall asleep and feel the cool breeze, ah, why don't vacations last forever?! Well, when I saw the hammock on the front porch of the Hess's beach house I knew Connor was going to need a little photo shoot! So you know, 60 pictures later I was pretty excited :) I think they are super cute AND he is wearing THE SAILBOAT OUTFIT I nearly died trying to fine!
Hanging out with his Granny! Going "Momma, stop taking picture of me!"
Sweet Bug smiling away!

A Little Wedding Shower...
We were so excited to receive an invitation in the mail for a bridal shower for Ms. Maggie the day before the wedding. As an out-of-towner (and in the hospital for the shower in December) my mom and I weren't able to make the shower in St. Louis. So, we thought it was the best idea to have one the day before the wedding - everyone was able to get together and meet and it was a nice, relaxing brunch before the big day. Maggie got some beautiful gifts and her Aunt's served a fabulous brunch!
Maggie and her new sister-in-laws! A beautiful crew if I say so myself :)
Meg, Maggie and I
Connor Man fell asleep at 11am, right before we walked over to the shower. Back up one second - we stayed at the cutest hotel. Wild Dunes on Isle of Palms - so beautiful and right around the corner from Maggie and her parents. It was the perfect spot and so nice that no driving was required. Okay - so my poor mom walked over to the shower with Connor, as we didn't want him to wake up, and was drenched from the humidity. I felt so bad - but she is amazing because he didn't wake up until the last guest was out of the door.
Charleston, SC...here we come!
We had so many exciting adventures during our trip to Charleston, I thought it would be best to go day by day. I wouldn't want anyone to have to read one single post - it would be a biggie! We had the most wonderful trip - everything was perfect. We were so thankful we were able to share Maggie and Andrew's big day with them - they looked so happy and beautiful. Connor was a perfect little traveler - we were so proud of him! After arriving on Thursday morning to hung out at the Hess's, took a nap and sat by the pool. Connor was a party animal - not taking a nap until 5pm! Lord have mercy, crazy boy! He was great though and had a lovely dinner with the girls (Momma, Granny, Aunt Maggie and Meg) and didn't retire for the evening until 11pm!
Hanging out at the hotel he was such a good boy!
Meeting Aunt Maggie for the first time - I think she was a little smitten. I think the feeling was mutual :)
Totally tuckered out - it may have taken him a little longer than usual to be "ready" for naptime, but he sure slept hard - he was one tired bug!
The Boardwalk - it was dark but that was the beach behind us!
Poor Bj had some flight issues and wasn't able to get to Charleston until Friday night at 6:30pm - but we managed to make the most of his time there. We felt so bad but we were secretly thankful we took the earlier flight! He made it safe and sound though (silly weather in Atlanta) and had a great visit. Up next, the wedding shower!

2,000 Visitors Giveaway!
About a m
onth ago I put a little "clicker" on the bottom of the blog, I thought it would be fun to see how many visitors we have. Well, I was SHOCKED when the number just kept right on climbing. So, I decided I wanted to do a little giveaway when I reached 2,000 visitors. As we can see I am a little behind as I have had almost 2,500 visitors now! The point is still the same though :) I am all excited - I have really wanted to get a little giveaway going, I think they are so fun!
So, here is the deal. I eventually plan on opening my own little baby business, I love to sew and be "crafty" so this will be a little sneak peak. I am going to giveaway a set of three handmade burp clothes (see picture)! WOO-HOO!! I am showing the set that little Miss. Reagan Mae is enjoying, but I will customize them based on your preference -boy or girl AND I will put the monogram initial of your choice on the top one! They are super cute and absorbent, I can use one the whole day! Just a nice little way to spice up the old burp rags!!! They also make great gifts, so enter even if you don't have a little one at home to use them!

Update...
I FOUND THE OUTFIT! HALLELUJAH!
By some grace of God on my final attempt I found the box and there it was, just as cute as I remembered it! I also found the Baby Bjorn - it was seriously my lucky day!! I guess I just needed to do a little venting and POOF there it was :)
7 Months vs. 5 Months
I was talking to a friend of mine (via Facebook!) and she wanted to know my thoughts (after the move) on moving cross county 7 months pregnant (as she did) or with a 5 month old (as we did). It really got me thinking as I wasn't sure what my answer would be - until last night. I am going to back track a little, but will eventually get back to my point :) We are leaving bright and early Thursday morning for Aunt Maggie's wedding (we are SO excited!) and approximately 4.5 months ago, I bought Connor the cutest little outfit to wear. Aunt Steph was with me and we specifically talked about how this outfit would be PERFECT to wear in Charleston. Light Blue Overalls with Sailboats embroidered on it/White onesie with a sailboat/Matching Hat/Matching Bib (I got the whole set for less than $10, I was pretty excited and it's PRECIOUS!). Well, that cute little outfit has been hanging in the closet since I bought it - I even peeked at it a few times, smiling at how cute himself was going to look in it. Well - bringing us back to reality - I was getting stuff organized and packing up C's outfits for the weekend when lo and behold...I CAN'T FIND THE OUTFIT. Yep, the same outfit that had been hanging in the closet waiting, I can't seem to locate it. I believe it is probably with all of the toiletries and the Baby Bjorn I also can't seem to find. I know they are in my in-laws basement somewhere, I just don't know where.
So, as I was venting to my poor mom and husband last night, I realized that while I didn't move all that well at 7 months pregnant and I wouldn't have been able to lift anything, (I also would have been winded a lot easier and it would have taken me twice as long to pack the house), I would have preferred to move before I had another set of belongings to misplace. Poor little bugster with a crazy momma! I consider myself to be pretty organized and all those boxes are labeled, I think things just got mixed up - as is inevitable with any move. It's really not the end of the world, he has plenty of things to wear, it was just one of those little frustrating things. I am going to go give it the old college try again tonight and see if I can find it amongst the boxes and furniture though. :) It wouldn't be me if I didn't at least try!
Ah, thanks for letting me vent!

Leaving A Legacy
I was talking with someone the other day and they were laughing at how many pictures I take and how much I enjoy writing on this blog and it got me thinking about why exactly that is. I had started this blog before I found out I was pregnant - I was just going to talk about what was going on in our lives. As soon as I got pregnant I had an endless amount of things to talk about, so many exciting things happening in our lives it was easy. I have always taken a lot of pictures, so it was really nice to have a place to write a little something about what those pictures mean to me and my family. It just made me realize that I take pictures so that the members of my family that come after me will have our legacy and will be connected to us through the memories we leave in our pictures and the words I write on this blog. My hope is that one day I will take my posts and add them to Connor's scrapbook to have a paper reminder in case the Internet is a thing of the past and my words, thoughts, feelings and memories would be lost forever. I want to leave behind the legacy of the type of family we were when it was just the three of us - I want Connor to know how much we loved him from the minute we found out about him. I want him and any other children we are blessed with to have the happy memories to reflect on when they have a bad day - and the guidance and help they need when they start a family of their own. I hope that we will be good enough parent's for them to look to us as an example when they have families. I ask so many questions and I am so curious about the world and people - I hope that I pass that on to Connor. I hope that this way I will remember all of the adventures we had and all of the emotions and thoughts from those adventures. I don't know, I was just thinking about it and I realized that not only is it a creative outlet for me, it's a legacy I will leave behind.
