Bear with me as I catch myself up, I don't feel much like blogging these days (nor is there much time!) I would rather stare at my beautiful babies :) But, I know I will be sad if I don't keep it up so bear with me as I start from the beginning! I did it - I made it ALL THE WAY TO MY DUE DATE!!!!!!!! I mean, I am amazed, so excited and happy. I just can't believe after everything my little nugget hung on to the very last second :)
The last picture of my sweet boy as an only child! I cried like a baby before putting him to bed that night. I mean, I was snotting all over the place and he was so sweet. He looked at me and said "momma, I think you need a hug". I think the poor kid had no idea what was going on :)
Since I ended up having to have an emergency c-section with Connor I wasn't going to be able to have an induction with this pregnancy. I had to go into labor on my own to have the v-bac that I really, really wanted. Earlier in the week my blood pressure started creeping up and Dr. Shaner said he thought it would be best if we just scheduled a c-section and went from there. I hadn't changed from my original 1cm/80% and he was starting to get a little anxious about getting the baby here. I was devastated, it just wasn't what I wanted for this delivery. He told me that I did amazing and I wasn't begging to have the baby early but he thought it was in our best interest not to go past my due date.
Well, I woke up at 2am February 28th with pains that I said "well, if this isn't labor then I don't want to go into labor." I had been having contractions all week, strong and close just not close enough. But, I had a feeling when I couldn't talk through the contractions that this was the real deal. My neighbor was taking C to school for me so after I buckled him in the car (we didn't tell him what was going on) I walked up the steps and turned to wave to him and FELL UP/DOWN THE STEPS! My neighbor flew out of the car, Bj flew out of the house and I was in panic mode. I ran into the house, laid on my left side and wouldn't move until I felt that baby. I called the dr and he said he thought everything was fine but to come in a little early for monitoring. When we got to the hospital the nurses could see that I was visibly in pain and knew I didn't want a c-section so they said come on back, we will check you. I was 3cm and 90% effaced!!! I screamed with excitement on the table, hahaha! I was cheering and fist pumping - who does that?! They called the dr and he said we could go for it :) So February 28th started with this...
And ended with this :) Bj took some awesome videos of me and some lovely photos - the bottom one makes me chuckle. Not sure what I was talking about but it's still funny. I laugh that I am on the ball because most of my labor was not spent sitting down, it was spent pacing the halls. It hurt too much to sit down!
