Blueberry Picking!

One of my favorite things we did in Michigan was go blueberry picking! It was so much fun - we found this little farm (with the help of Liz Erker) and just had the best time filling up our buckets. Connor slept for the first little bit, but once he woke up I turned him around and he loved reaching for all the blueberries and leaves on the trees. We were saying it is going to be so much fun next year when he and Frankie can just pop the blueberries straight in their mouths!
Getting ready to turn around and get pickin'!
Look at all the green leaves...
and blueberries!
It was so cute - you tied the bucket around your waist or neck with a neck tie!!
Waiting for us to check out with our 4lbs of blueberries that only cost us $3.25!!
He had so much fun picking blueberries he was out cold the minute his head hit the car seat. He slept the whole way home! We are already getting so excited for our first trip to Eckert's to pick apples this fall!

My Favorite Subject

As I was getting ready to go outside and take these pictures, I remember grabbing my camera and telling everyone I was going outside to take pictures of my favorite subject - and that he is! I was looking through all of the pictures I took from our wonderful family vacation to realize that of the 600 pictures I took, I don't have ANY group pictures. That means that nearly all 600 photos are of Connor! The poor kid - at least he can never tell me his early days weren't documented!! The yard at the Lakeshore home is just so pretty. The greens are beautiful and they have bright big flowers in the garden - I loved the bench and wooden chair and just had to take some pictures of the sweet pea!! It is kind of special too, as we have a few family pictures on that chair and bench from previous trips - now I have some with the little man!

An Amazing...

He always has and always will be the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to us.
Mommy and Daddy love you Connor Francis!

One with Nature

I remember buying these shorts when Aunt Steph came to visit and CFJ weighed six pounds, thinking he would never fit into them. They looked so big! Now, his belly is hanging over the top of them and he is looking oh so cute and oh so big!

Wake-Up, Uncle Bubba!

All poor Davey wanted to do was snooze and all we wanted to do was hang out with him!

Did someone say Ice Cream?

As Granny previously showed Connor, Ice Cream is pretty good stuff. So, we thought after a hot day of shopping what could be better? Connor was starting to get tired of shopping and we happened up the ice cream store...
So, we walked into the Ice Cream store, I was holding C facing out. I ordered my SINGLE scoop of Cookies & Cream and the lovely lady scooping the ice cream handed me my cone with FOUR scoops on it and C had his hand up in the air, eyes on the ice cream like it was coming to him! It was hilarious, I could barely get it out of his vision and in my mouth before he gobbled it up! He of course got a few tastes and was pretty stinkin' excited about it! As soon as that ice cream hit his lips, he didn't mind the shopping excursion at all anymore!
Yummy Stuff!
Ice cream mustache!
Oh, and yes, that is our sweet precious boy sitting forward in his stroller!!! He is a HUGE fan of it and he just looks precious. I really can't take it - everyone was laughing about his "foot rest". We didn't take the car seat adaptor off until we knew for sure he was ready to sit face out yet! It was a success though and the "foot rest" may have to come off.
He had such a good time eating his ice cream, he just passed out on the car ride home :)

The Harbor

I love boats and water, as does the little man! I just think they are so peaceful, and make for great photo backgrounds :) It was our last day, but we had to get a picture of Downtown Douglas. It is so pretty - all around it there are restaurants and really cute shops, which we frequented.
