PHISH @ THE FOX

I will start with the background - for those of you who know and love Bj you know he is a huge Phish fan. I fondly remember the summer he left camp (in his green blazer I still miss) early to go on "tour" with Phish. He was so excited - with his ponytail and patchwork pants, he was set. He talks all the time about the adventures and lessons he learned that summer. He has a video of the last show at Coventry and occasionally when a night with friends wraps up he will bring out the old video and show it to anyone who will watch. Imagine his delight when Phish decided to to take a break from their hiatus and tour again! We were lucky enough to find some tickets for the show at The Fabulous Fox, we lined up Nana and Granny to watch C, picked up the VW Bus and we were ready to go! Not only was in my inaugural appearance it was the bus' as well - she made it with flying colors and looked beautiful next to the others in the parking lot.
I was really looking forward to it - Bj has always said the one thing he wished we had been able to do together was see Phish, as they were a big part of his life (as is music in general) and I agreed! I will say that my first show did not disappoint, as I had no idea what to expect. I don't know what I was most impressed with - The Fox itself is a phenomenal venue to see anyone/anything at, the lights (there lighting guy was just as amazing - he was so on and it made the show that much better) were INCREDIBLE, as was the music. As someone who doesn't know all of the songs I was totally entertained and I loved it. They don't talk at all during the show and they take a bow at the end, I thought that was pretty cool. They just have such great energy, as does the music, and it's pretty fun to "people watch" as you see some crazy dancers at any type of jam band show. We just had a great time, the night couldn't have been better. The weather was perfect, I was with my sweet husband, the show was great, we met up with some old friends - I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Guess What...I have a THUMB!

Connor Man found his thumb this weekend! He was so excited and couldn't believe his luck when it was still there the next day. He looks so cute sucking his little thumb - he just stares at it and can't believe it is going in his mouth. He is such a sweet pea, I just can't stand it sometimes!

Lucky

As I was unpacking and looking at the pictures from the weekend, I realized just how lucky we are with our sweet boy. We may have had a rough start, and the first two months at home were pretty tough with the lack of sleep - but we are so lucky to have such a good baby. I really don't have any complaints - he is happy, sweet and smiley! Connor eats well and as we have noticed he travels well. He had his moments, as I would expect but overall he was just a pleasure and I am so thankful he is in our lives. He is sleeping well and didn't have any problems (aside from a little gas issue) sleeping in a new place and he was genuinely happy to see his new surroundings. He just hung out and giggled. He flirted with everyone he saw and was just a happy, sweet little sweet pea. We had more people compliment us on how cute he is, and how well-behaved he was during the wedding ceremony. I usually just smile and say thank you followed up with - "we are pretty lucky." I can't believe this boy is going to be six months old on Wednesday - I really don't know where the time has gone. We sure are happy and are looking forward to what life brings in the next six months.

The End...

WHEW! I should have made a slide show after all that! I just had to throw the last few in - Connor looks pretty sweet in his Bjorn and that is the Boardwalk connecting our hotel to the beach. It was just too cute! We had a great trip and we can't wait to go back!

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kennedy

What a beautiful wedding! I don't think Maggie could have looked anymore gorgeous - nor Andrew or anyone else in the family. They picked a stunning spot to get married, Magnolia Plantation, and the whole day was just perfect. They look so happy and everything went off without a hitch. Connor was great during the ceremony and I may have cried a little. They had the cutest little refreshments at the ceremony - firefly sweet tea vodka, lemonade and water - and a great dinner, slide show and party! We couldn't have been more excited to share the day with them - and can't wait to see everyone again already!Hanging out with Granny in his wedding outfit!
It rained JUST during the ceremony - just a sprinkle for some good luck!

The Johnson's
Having fun with Daddy!
How cute were the place cards, they made them too! Maggie and Andrew found all the sand dollars and they put the little name tags on - so cute!
We thought this spot was pretty!
The whole family - how pretty is that spot?! I wish we would have looked around more - I can't wait to read up on the history of the plantation.
We made it through dinner, the slide show and cake - and a little dancing - before the party animal was sleeping on his Granny's shoulders and ready to head home. He was really good during the ceremony but he got a little scared of all the people and loud music at the reception. Overall, he did great for his first wedding. We saw all the little kiddos dancing and couldn't quite believe that he would be up there tearing it up one day :)

THE BEACH!

Connor Francis made his first trip to the beach!! We were all excited to take him down and see what he thought. I walked up and down the beach with him the day before and he loved the sound of the waves - he listens to waves at night with his sound machine - and I think it was zoning him out, it was kind of funny!Granny, Momma and Connor! He had to wear his "rash guard" and swim suit - I was too nervous down at the beach with his fair skin and bright sun!
The Little Family! The camera was foggy from the humidity - but I still thought I would post the pictures :)
Relaxing on his beach towel!
He thought the beach was okay - but preferred the calm pool instead. He got a little freaked out at the waves coming in and out - and my apologies for the obscene swimming suit picture!
Little Piggy Toes in the Sand!!!
He thought it was much more fun to hang out with daddy in the pool where it was calm and quiet!
Hanging out in the chair by the pool - we said he looked so relaxed, he needed a margarita in one hand! :)
After a long day at the beach and pool it was lights out in the peapod :) By the way - in love with this thing - it folds up, fit in the suitcase and it was his bed and nap time tent at the pool! He was such a good boy and too stinkin cute - we just had the best time!
