These are the Days...

I am going to miss when he is packing up the car and heading to college. The sweet days of snuggling on the bed with my sweet pea while daddy snaps pictures. Sigh.

Before There Were Brothers

I was looking through some pictures on the computer the other day and came across this picture of Sedona and I couldn't help but notice how young she looks. This is our sweet girl, our firstborn baby, circa 2005. This was when she was the little one terrorizing Nooker T. Washington, the sweet girl - she was the reason we decided to get another dog. This was also pre us bringing home Scout Johnson in 2007 and then Connor Francis Johnson in 2009, prior to her having two more individuals in the house to worry about. She always has been and always will be the sweetest girl dog out there. I feel like I have been talking more and more about the dogs lately - but they are just coming into their own with Connor. They love their brother, hands down, love him. They run to his door (and sometimes nose their way in when he is sleeping to lay on his floor) when he wakes up and can't stop giving him kisses when he is getting his diaper changed on the couch. It is one big snuggle fest in bed as they love to get as close to him as possible. I just love watching the three of them together and I can't wait to watch them grow up together - baby and his best friends. The love is mutual as Connor's face lights up when he sees his sweet doggies. It's just the best - we are so blessed.

The Gang

My wonderful co-workers, Connor and I went to the Boulder Brewery for some beers and appetizers on Friday night. We were celebrating Jana's two year anniversary and the fact that it was gorgeous out! I have been so fortunate and have been blessed with amazing co-workers who have gone above and beyond - I am really going to miss them. They were beyond amazing (even their families were beyond amazing) while we were in the hospital and on maternity leave and they are just overall great folks. We joke that we look like a gang traveling around the office because we only function as a body of one, not four! It's kind of funny. It was a great night - we had some good beers and good food and some great conversation. I even suckered Jana into coming over and hanging out with me later on that evening! I hope that in my next job I can find co-workers as wonderful as those at Platts.

Connor had a few too many Sweaty Betty's that night so I had to drive him home - but not before we stopped and picked up the two gigantic (I am talking two bags the size of me) bags of bubble wrap. Momma couldn't see anything out any window of the car - it's a good thing we didn't have to make many turns the whole way home!

The Little Prince

Sweet Pea was being the perfect little angel that he is and just hung out on the bed while we packed. I of course got a lot of packing done as I HAD to stop and take 22 pictures of him! Can you believe this boy is going to be five months old on Sunday!?

Go Cards!

I know it's TOTALLY shocking that Connor has some Cardinals gear - but he sure does! I am the worst blogger - I was ready to get his picture taken on Opening Day in support of his favorite team, but I didn't get it together. So, I took advantage of the beautiful day and took some shot outside this afternoon. I think he looks rather handsome, don't you? He was so excited about the photo shoot, I just kept getting the smiles at the tail end. Here is one, more of a smirk, but know that he was smiling big and bright!

Connor told me this afternoon that he is so excited to see his first game - he is so thankful he doesn't have to wait much longer!

He loves those fingers - can't get enough of them these days. You have to pull them out of his mouth sometimes to get the bottle in, funny little man. I tell you I am glad we got the pictures now, I don't know if the hat is going to fit at his first game - we are thinking sometime in June! Let's Go Cards ! Love your newest fan, Connor!

Bloggy Gets A Facelift!

I am first going to start out by saying I think I had my blood pressure back at pre-delivering- Connor levels of high this afternoon...I thought I had deleted scooter,jr and I was about to cry! Lo and Behold, I was just an idiot and didn't read all of the directions. WHEW is all I have to say.

So, I thought to myself at lunchtime - why not give old scooter a face lift? I like to be creative and it just felt like the right thing to do. I have to warn you - I don't think I am done, I have a few more changes on the way. As you will read once I get home (and finish updating the four saved posts) we have a lot of change going on in our life right now and change on the blog seemed fitting too. The color scheme reflects my love of blue, brown and green these days - so I just had to do it! Enjoy!
