I Like to Eat...

By MYSELF!
The little one has decided that using the spoon himself is WAY more exciting than sitting back and waiting for us to feed him! It's so fun, I love it! He does a great job and we spoon in bites in between. He loves to pick up finger foods and eat them all by himself. I was kind of wondering when he would start, he has been so excited about all the new things, I was surprised he wasn't going to town on the finger foods. It looks like momma just needed a lesson in patience, when he was ready he took off with the spoon AND the finger foods :) Last night he was using one of his big puffs as a spoon in the yogurt, it was pretty funny! I secretly just wanted him used to the finger foods so he could devour is first birthday cake on Sunday...

Christmas Pictures

We went over to Nana and Grandpa's house on Saturday night, they wanted a picture of CFJ to send out in their Christmas cards. We had a little photo shoot trying to get a good shot of the wild man. He was all.over.the.place and did not want to sit for too long!
We got a couple of cute ones, but I think we may have to do another shoot to get one that is "Christmas card" worthy! Ha!

He was having fun, he was just moving way too fast for the camera!

Such a sweet little man! Does anyone else feel like this year is flying by? I really can't believe that it is already time to send out Christmas cards, Santa is going to be here before we know it!

New Toy!

Santa decided to give Connor one of his toys early this year - he called and said he has just been such a good boy, he couldn't resist! He knew how much Connor would love playing with his new pop-up peek-a-boo toy that he said, just this once I will come early!
Everything is "ooohh" (prounounced like "ehw") these days, he is RIGHT on the cusp of just talking up a storm. He wakes up and the little finger is pointing at everything and the little mouth is spouting out lots of "oh's", telling us all about his sweet dreams, what he wants to do today. It is SO sweet!
I just loved this little face, he was having way too much fun!

He loves to push the animals down, that's what he's supposed to do! BUT, he also has learned how to open the green animal - it is a circle that you push, so he loves to open and close that one about a dozen or so times. Connor, you are growing up way too fast! Thanks Santa, for coming early and bringing sweet boy this fun new toy!

1,2,3...

Peek-A-Boo!

Again! Where is Connor?
Peek-A-Boo!

His favorite game these days - such a sweet, sweet little boy!

Who Knew?

These cabinets OPEN!?
Did you know that?
Here, come on over, I will show you how...
You just walk yourself right up...
Watch here, this is the KEY...you pull this handle open
and you can get to everything inside! They have really been holding out on me over here - they didn't realize that I was the champion tupperware cabinet emptier! I can do it in 10 seconds flat!

Ha! The little one has figured out how the cabinet doors open! Uh-Oh!

Santa!

Connor saw Santa last night! It was pretty funny - we raced into the Galleria to get there before Santa went on break at 5, but we are thinking we should have waited until Santa got back from break because he was kind of already "on break" when we put Connor on his lap! C was all smiles until we put him on Santa's lap and then he didn't know what to do, he cried a little, looked like he was going to fall asleep a little and then was just plain ready for us to pick him up, where he was all smiles again :) This was the best picture of all of them, but we think Santa got the general idea that Connor has been the BEST boy this year! After the picture we saw that they let dogs get their picture taken with Santa on Monday night's, we just might be going back with Scout and Sedona! Seeing Santa made us even more excited for Christmas this year!

"Da-Da"

Our sweet boy said his first "official" word last night...Da-Da!!! The Rice's were over and Caitlin was feeding him dinner and Patrick was talking to him. All of a sudden, with a big smile on his face, he said "Da-Da"! Ah, he is too big!! He loves his daddy, so it was only fitting for him to put together a great first word! He was so proud of himself, he just kept smiling. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that we were all jumping up and down smiling and cheering for him! He has always been a talker (totally not sure where he got that from!) but we have really noticed him starting to understand and put more things together. He LOVES sounds - we have almost the whole bright baby book collection and he loves to listen to us say the words and make the animal sounds. Oh, I just can't believe that before we know it he is going to be talking in sentences and telling stories! I love it!
