Friday Find

So, I have officially made it through my first week at my new job. I love it! I love the people, I love the schedule - I think it's going to be a great fit. I am a little nervous for the "selling season" but I think it will go great. Bj will officially wrap up his first week of work this afternoon and he is loving it to! Whew! Well, my new schedule allows me to have Fridays off - woohoo! So, I have been trying to think of something creative for the little man and I to do on Fridays and then blog about. SO I have decided we are going to go out and about and find free kiddo activities, fun parks, good places to eat and take the dogs, etc on our Friday's together. Then I can blog about them in my "Friday Find!" I also thought it would be a good excuse to get cute pictures of Connor!

This Friday was a bit unusual as we were anxiously awaiting the birth of Reagan after Steph called that morning, we met Aunt Sandra's new niece, baby Ella, and picked up the beef tenderloin for Libby's shower that evening. We may have also driven around Webster looking for a new home! :) So, we can be on the lookout from here on out for the fun little adventures the little one and I get ourselves into!

I am so happy to report that the Kepplinger's welcomed little Miss. Reagan Mae into the world yesterday afternoon! I am so proud of them and couldn't be more excited for their new little bundle of joy. The new Mommy, Daddy and Baby are doing great - just a little tired. Reagan is so beautiful and perfect - I can't wait to get my hands on her sweet little self!!! I think they are pretty excited the wait is over and ready to start life as a family of four (with Bailey the doggie!!). More updates to come - I have looked through the pictures so many times I am ready for a new set! Congratulations Steph and Keith - you are going to be wonderful parents and we couldn't be happier for you!!!! Enjoy every moment with that sweet, pefect angel!!

Toothless Larry

My bugster is teething up something fierce these days and I think his days of being "Toothless Larry" could be behind us before we know it. I SWEAR I see two little tooth buds bottom middle, but then he starts gnawing on my finger and I SWEAR I feel them all over. Perhaps he is getting them in all at once as opposed to this being an on-going problem?! Wishful thinking, I know. He is a little cranky, bless his hear, but I just mainly feel so bad for him. He has no idea what is going on and why his mouth suddenly hurts, it's just awful. I have armed myself with every possible thing - the AWESOME mesh feeder bags, homeopathic teething tablets, baby orajel, and possibly every teething ring size and shape on the market. I have frozen a washcloth and I am anxiously awaiting his six month check-up where frozen fruit and veggies will replace the ice in the mesh bags. Yikes - I hope some of these puppies start coming in and providing some relief. Any other suggestions from experienced momma's?
He pretty much will chew on ANYTHING in sight - including my fingers, hand, his blankie, my shoulder, my chin and cheeks. The poor little man - it seems to help so my appendages are his for the gnawing. It is almost rare nowadays to catch him without his finger or my finger (or whoever is holding him's finger) in or near his mouth. He is also the king of drool and loves to leave his slobbering smile on everything he sees.

Thank Heaven For Little Boys

We were playing a little game of peek-a-boo when he woke up this morning - made my whole day that much brighter.

My Good Friend Julie

As I was gearing up for my first day of work, I realized I had nothing to wear. This is a common occurrence in my house (even though Bj so kindly points out I have a whole closet full of things to wear) except this time I legitimately didn't have anything to wear as nothing fits this round body quite yet. So, I HAD to run over to my favorite place, Ann Taylor Loft, and look for something on the sale rack. Well, they were kind enough to help me out and had the perfect pair of khaki pants for me - on sale. This is where I will introduce you to my friend Julie. The most wonderful pants for the curvy woman ever made. I am, always have been, and always will be a curvy lady. I am more so curvy now than I ever have been and that makes me appreciate these pants that much more. They are so comfy, super cute and they fit this big body and make me feel SOMEWHAT cute. I was introduced to Julie a few years ago and I will hunt through the sale rack and buy whatever Julie's I can find, regardless of how cute they are. In fact, I have a whole closet full of fall and winter Julie's anxiously awaiting my return to their size. In fact they BEGGED me to stop eating brownies so I will lose weight and be re-united with them :) I am listening and goal is to be back with them by the fall - wish me luck! Mark my words, with Julie on my hips - I will get this baby weight off by the fall!!! So, if you are ever in need of a cute, comfy, curvy fit - look no further than my good friend Julie!

Boys Hope Girls Hope Pub Crawl...

I am going to preface this with - I did this for a good cause, and I haven't done a pub crawl since I was a junior in college. With that being said - I think I might STILL be drunk from the pub crawl on Saturday morning! HOLY HANNAH this momma was out of shape when it came to drinking at 10am on a beautiful weekend morning. Our friend Meredith works for Boys Hope Girls Hope and they do a Poker Pub Crawl to raise money for the kiddos. When they asked us to be a part of it, how could we say no? When they told us we had to be the drunkest team on the crawl, for the kiddos, how could we say no? So, we lined up the Grandma's to watch Connor and headed down to Soulard at 10am on Saturday morning. I think perhaps the three beers I had prior to the crawl starting or the three grape shots on special that Greg MADE me take at the second bar may have had something to do with my state of mind :)
This was our third bar and I remember it very clearly because they had really good hot dogs! This was the group, we met all of these people (minus Greg in the black hat) on Saturday and they were so nice! It was good to meet new friends in St. Louis.
Greg and Bj at the last bar - the last bar before going back to the first one to wait in line for the buffet. I think we waited a good 40minutes and I would have waited 40 more! Can we see a theme here with me and the food?!
This picture right here is for my Danieley girls - yep if you look closely that is me ON STAGE with the two man band, shaking a maraca. Yep - that is not the first time I have done that and it probably won't be the last. I about peed my pants when I saw this - I will say that the last time I was on stage with the two man band I was not a momma!!

Overall it was a great day - the weather couldn't have been better and it's always nice to go out and enjoy an activity that helps children and families in need. I figure I would want someone to do the same for us which is why we HAD to attend the event and why I had to CRAWL home. We fell asleep at 8:30 and didn't move until the next morning where we both felt nice and refreshed to hang out with the bugster.

Day 1...

We both survived our first day of work! I think GG also survived watching Connor for the day :) All looks good for Bj and I on the job front, I really liked mine so far and Bj felt the same way! Woo-hoo! It is always nice once you know what is going on at a job, so I think we are looking forward to the training period being over, but other than that all went great. Tomorrow will be my first day juggling myself and Connor man and getting us out the door, to Nana's open arms, and me to work by 8! Phew, I am a little tired thinking about it, but something tells me we will be just fine. I am pretty lucky that Nana is on the way to and from my office. That is all for now, little momma is going to hit the hay!
