Caterpillar...?!

Do you see that little caterpillar in bed with my sweet pea? Right there close to his hand? That caterpillar that I did NOT put in bed with him when I put him down for his nap? Hahaha!
I was downstairs folding some laundry and C was still talking in his bed when all of a sudden I heard a thump (I heard one of these earlier in the week followed by crying so I KNEW he was out of bed) and then nothing. So I kind of listened for a little while. I heard a little more playing and then I heard Mr. Caterpillar singing the ABC's...Hmm. I let C take a book or little truck to bed, but not the caterpillar because he makes too much noise and I am afraid he will roll over on him in his sleep and then wake himself up, ha! So I was a bit confused when I heard his music playing, knowing that caterpillar was not within arms reach. So after it was quiet I snuck upstairs (camera in hand) to caputure what I was sure would be C sleeping on the floor. Nope, I walked in and he was sound asleep in bed, caterpillar at his side. He had gotten out of bed, thrown caterpillar back in bed and then pushed his fire truck up against the crib and climbed back in. Silly little business! I just could not believe that he had climbed back in, haha! I think it looks like this boy is heading towards a big boy bed, even if his Momma isn't quite ready :) I feel pretty good that he climbed back in, I am just too nervous that he will hurt himself if he does it again, you know? We are going to go straight to the full size bed that his crib converts too (we have a mattress but it is hidden in storage so I found the best groupon deal $50 for a $200 mattress, I knew it was a sign!!) because it will be nice to have a little more room. Secretly I am excited to be able to snuggle in bed with him and read books, it will also be a whole lot easier to kiss him goodnight, it is hard to bed down over the crib rails, ha!

This is what I am dreaming of bedding wise for his room...anyone want to buy it for the sweet boy? I will either make him a little duvet or find something as similar as possible. I want all of the pieces and they just seem to add up really quickly!!

What do you think, isn't it cute? I may or may not have found some little car basket labels and little decals that will turn into pictures in his room. I love that I can use the cars sheeting now, but the comforter and such can grow with him, my sweet little boy!

Silly Weather!

We have had the craziest weather here in the STL - if you as me, I am DONE and over the snow. I would just appreciate some warm spring days, that stuck around! Last weekend we were enjoying a beautiful day at the park and this weekend in SNOWED! Ah!!! It is warmer today and all of the snow is melting, and I am crossing my whole body that the warmer temps are coming soon to stay :)
C got this little sweater from Nana for his birthday and I just loved it! Since it is technically spring I broke it out for him to wear to dinner last weekend and even though he wouldn't look at me and smile for a picture, I still thought he looked pretty cute :)

My Sunshine...

He is my sunshine, and even with a messy little face (from eating brownies with momma) he can make my heart smile, even on the cloudiest of days. I am such a blessed Momma.

Happy Day, Momma!

I can't believe it's here...my last year in my 20's! AHH!! Seriously, when did this happen - HOW did this happen!? I am not joking when I tell you I still feel like I am 25 (deep down inside I still feel like I LOOK like I am 25 until I see a mirror!), it's just amazing how fast the time goes the older you get :) I woke up on Saturday morning to probably the most amazing present this momma could ask for...a 2 HOUR snuggle fest with my sweet boy! Connor is a mover, not a snuggler (don't get me wrong he give GREAT hugs and KISSES, he just can't sit still long enough to snuggle but for 30 seconds!) and this momma is a snuggler. So, I heard C talking in his pak 'n play at 5:50...waaayyy to earlier, but at least he was still in the pak 'n play :) So I went in and got him and brought him back to our bed, knowing he wouldn't fall back asleep but still being hopeful! Oh my word, my sweet man snuggled in the crook of my arm and we both fell back asleep until 8 - good Lord, I was in heaven!! Haha!! After that it was up and at 'em so we could finish packing up and head out to the airport! But, not before I got a few pictures with my boys!
Overall it was a great day - I loved being able to spend it with my boys! The traveling was a little long, but I will take it :) It was funny though we were in the security line at the airport and C wanted to run around - I told him no, explained why and picked him up. Well, he pitched a FIT! The ladies behind me said "little boy, you be nice to your momma" (hahahah!) and I told them "I know AND it's my birthday!" It made me chuckle, I am sure I will remind him of it when I am old and grey :)

We went to my grandma's on Sunday with my mom's side of the family to celebrate my birthday and my mom's (happy birthday yesterday nonny!) - it was lovely! I am fully embracing this last year in my 20's feeling so grateful and blessed with all of my wonderful friends and family. I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us!

The Key's Cont'd

I thought I had quite a few more pictures to post so I thought I would break it up into two, but apparently I only had a few more to go! Aunt Jen and Ashley posing with the Captain!

Our sweet little family - we left on my birthday so I forced Bj to take a picture with me, as my birthday present :) This was a part of the view from the place we stayed, it really was just beautiful and such a nice, relaxing getaway!
On the plane ride home, hanging out with Grandpa! Poor C was a trooper - we packed up the mini-van (C was IN LOVE - they whole way home he kept saying "Connor have a mini-man so he can push the buttons") and drove the 2.5 hours to Ft. Lauderdale to have lunch at the beach, back to the airport and then a 3 hour flight home - he was SO good but defiantely ready to be home :) We passed him all over the airplane and he had fun playing with everyone! It was pretty funny though - he kept "tooting" but nothing was ever in his diaper. So, right after they told us to fasten our seatbelts for landing we realized that C had finally done the deed, but we couldn't get up to change him!! So, the whole plane had to suffer through his dirty diaper :) When I picked him up to get off the plane I noticed his shorts were a little wet...I can seriously count on one hand the amount of times he has had a blowout diaper that requires a full body change - oh yes, we got to the bathroom and it was everywhere! Thankfully we had a change of clothes and he was good to go! Nonny picked us up and I seriously think Connor was asleep before I even had him buckled him in the car seat. He stayed asleep while the dogs jumped all over him, I changed him into his pajamas and put him in bed! Sweet little thing. It was SO fun to watch him experience this little trip, he was so good and just had the best time on all of our adventures! We are so blessed to have such a sweet little boy!

The Keys!

We were lucky enough to be able to tag along with Aunt Jen, her friend Ashley and the Johnson's last week for a little getaway! We were going to the Keys for a wedding (I got NO pictures!!) and decided to make it a week long vacation, and it was wonderful! I actually wasn't able to leave until Tuesday while everyone else left on Saturday. I was so sad to leave my boys, the house is way too quiet without them. The only thing that was really nice was that I was able to get all of my orders out before I left, I spent 18 hours at my mom's between Saturday and Sunday...whew! It is wonderful though, I love making all of my orders :) Bj said Connor did great on the plane and was really good - BUT he was climbing out of the pak 'n play at night and naptimes...ah!!! I am SO not ready to move my sweet boy to a big boy bed!! Ha! I sure was excited to get to them though!
We were in Marathon Key and it was just gorgeous! We rented this beautiful house and just had the best view. Connor loved playing outside and being in the pool! We went to the beach on Wednesday after I got there and it was so fun. Connor loved playing in the water and asking Aunt Jen and Ms. Ashely to get him a dolphin :) I of course was like the paparazzi and took about a thousand pictures of him, I seriously couldn't decide which one I like the best so I shared them all, haha!
How cute are those crab swim trunks?! (Aunt Steph, those are going to baby boy after we grow out of them!!) I loved them! Nana and Grandpa also got him a pair of Cars swim trunks and Aunt Jen and Ashley found him some Cars water shoes - he wouldn't take them off, it was too funny! Unfortunately they picked up a terrible odor from the beach and had to stay at the condo :(! C has started making this face that we like to call "The Jay Leno" or "The Joker" - I think he is getting his 2 year molars in and that must make him feel better? I am hoping it passes soon though :) He must have heard me say something about it and goes "No Momma, No Jay Leno" :)
I can't believe I put a picture of me in a swimming suit on here, but I am I am in so few pictures, and I thought C looked cute. I wanted to make sure he remembered that I was actually on the trip and not the hired photographer :)

Nana and Grandpa bought Connor a kite and we had the PERFECT windy day for it! I think Daddy might have enjoyed it more than Connor though, haha! It was pretty funny he almost took out a little family on the beach with it, it was seriously SO windy - but a perfect beach day!

C loved smashing the sand castles that Daddy was making, it was so funny! BUT, he is not yet at the age where he enjoys touching the sand. Hahaha! He fell down at one point and had his hands up screaming for me to pick him up :) I think maybe next year he will enjoy the sand?!
They had this super cute park at the beach and we had the best time on the trampoline, merry go round and swings! It was the perfect little distraction for him, he was getting tired of the beach but Momma needed a little more sun on her pale body! When we left the playground Connor looked at me and said "Connor had fun at the park and beach today!" :) SO cute, have I mentioned that I love this little booger?!
He is such a helper, he likes to help with anything and everything - here he is blow drying Aunt Jen's hair :)
We went to the Dolphin Research Park to see the dolphins, but C was not at all interested in them. It was pretty amusing, he could have cared less and I was a little nervous that he was going to fall in the water with the dolphins so we went out and played at the little splash park they had, he LOVED it! They had all these BUTTONS!! you could push and he was in heaven. We loved how he would push the button, wait for the water and cover up his eyes...sweet little sugar :) I made him the cutest little shirt to wear to the aquarium, but didn't get a good picture, so sad!
On Friday we decided to head down to Key West for the day and it was so fun! I haven't been to Key West since a college spring break so it was so fun to go back! Though, after remembering that spring break, Aunt Steph and I decided that Reagan and Connor are not allowed to partake in any spring break's in Key West :) I just though C looked so cute in his little madras shorts, I love madras shorts and polo shirts - I seriously think I made the poor kid wear them 3 times in the 4 days I was there!

Daddy, Grandpa and Carlos Fuente, haha! These are the cigars that Grandpa smokes - after realizing who he was they had to get a picture! Poor Nana wanted a good picture with Connor and he was not about the smiles that day - we are going to have to keep trying until we get a good one :)

We had lunch at this neat little place in Key West and our booth had the window wide open, it was so fun! Connor loved watching all of the buses and choo-choo trains, he was so funny! He kept trying to sneak his little leg out of the window - he certainly has "selective hearing" these days when we tell him things he doesn't like to hear :) It really was a great day - it was so fun to travel the Keys and check out another place while we were down there! After lunch we grabbed some ice cream and then it was back in the car! A few more pictures in the next post, hold tight!
