New Room!

I have been meaning to post pictures since oh - Christmas when we painted Connor's room (at Nonny's house) but am just now getting around to it! I was starting to get sad that I really was never able to "finish" Connor's nursery since we moved almost right after he arrived and I know it won't be really finished until we move, but my mom is too good to me and let me have at his room here! With the help of my brother, we painted the room and daddy Bj installed a new ceiling fan! We think it looks pretty cute and Connor seems to love it, especially his new bookshelves I made him!

His favorite spot is the little chair with his bookshelves - he sits in his little chair and reads away - he is pretty stinkin sweet!

Easter Egg Hunt!

My mom and I took Connor up to Tiles Park on Saturday for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt! It was a bit of a blistery morning, but Connor had fun picking up his 12 Easter eggs. We thought it would be a good practice run before the real deal on Sunday! He looked so cute, he was just anxiously waiting for it to be the 1-2 year old's turn to run out and grab some goodies. After we collected our eggs and surveyed the goodies we hit the road and picked up his real easter basket from Michael's, ran through TJ Maxx and had lunch with daddy! We had a great little Saturday and are really looking forward to Easter this Sunday. Next on the agenda is pictures with the Easter Bunny and dying Easter eggs!

Cupcakes!

I knew there was one picture I was missing from St. Patty's day! I thought these turned out pretty cute and I had to share :) I love me a good cupcake AND a good cupcake topper! I am so bad, I saved them to most likely reuse next year! Ha :)

Getting Ready for Summer!

I don't really have much to say other than these are some of the cutest little piggy toes I have ever seen? I love flip flop weather and thought Connor might need to try it out too :) I thought they were so cute I bought him a brown pair too!

"Mr-T"

Remember when I said Connor hasn't taken off his beads since St. Patrick's Day? I really wasn't kidding - he is still wearing them, as I type this on the 23rd! We said he looks like Mr-T, he is such a little cutie! So, do you like Connor's new jammies? We think he looks pretty cute in his "big boy" jammers. The funny thing about those jammers is I just bought them at Kohl's last weekend...My mom and I ran to Kohl's last Sunday, I needed to pick up a few things and she wanted to go to the Dollar Store down the street. We commented on how quiet Connor was in his car seat, I said oh he is just playing with his sippy cup, hanging out. Obviously I wasn't paying too much attention to that sippy cup because when I went to get him out of the car I noticed it was empty and he was SOAKING wet! He has turned it upside down and dumped the whole thing out. They are supposed to be spill proof - but apparently this one wasn't on the right way or something! So we plopped him in the stroller and bought him a new pair of jammies in Kohl's! Of course we had to put the beads back on :) I thought that was too funny not to remember years down the road!

15 Months!

My sweet boy, I say this every month, but how has another month gone by? You are hilarious as a 15 month old and we can't get enough of you. You got these beads at the St. Patrick's Day parade and you haven't taken them off since - we call you Mr. T because you pile on as many as you can and it cracks us up. We think you look darling and can't get enough of this little personality that is shining through. The Easter bunny dropped off one of your little gifts early this year, some chalk and we decided to take advantage of a nice day and try it out! You had so much fun with it and it was so fun to watch you mimic what we were doing. We have had so much fun this month sending you on little "errands" around the house to see how much you are understanding and it's AMAZING! We can tell you to do something and you do it, you are so smart at this age it is scary! You love to say "hi" to everyone you see and you give kisses. They are the sweetest thing any of us have ever seen and we can't get enough of them! You walk around like a champ and we are pretty sure you are going to start running here before we know it. You sometimes look like a little old man when you walk and it is so very sweet to us. You giggle and laugh all the time - but you can definitely be a little crabby when things aren't going your way.

You are eating well and drinking tons and tons of milk! We are slowly working on eliminating bottles (though not your night time one, momma just isn't ready for that yet) and you are doing great. You are transitioning over into one 4 hour nap after lunch and doing great! It is really kind of fun to have all morning to play with you - it is going to be great this summer and spring when the weather is nice. You love the dogs and chase after poor Scout whenever you can! You have started to really love brushing your teeth and sometimes try to steal our tooth brush! You are so affectionate and love on your bunny and blankey all day. You also love to sit in our laps and read books. We think you are working on some new teeth - and bless your heart we hope they come in soon!
You are an amazing, wonderful, precious little bundle of life and you have made our lives so sweet. We just love watching you grow and change every month, it is a privilege to call myself your momma. We love you so much you little stink pot, here's to month 16!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We love St. Patty's day around our house - we really love holidays in general, but St. Patrick's Day is one of our favorites! We decided to head to the parade since it was going to be such a beautiful day and it didn't disappoint! We had so much fun, though Connor's faces don't show that :) Ha! It was SO crowded that we only were able to take pictures at the end of the parade and by that time he was ready to head home and take a snooze. He was so cute though, he was just watching everyone and he kept "caressing" the hair of the girl that squeezed her way in next to Connor and G. Can you see all of his beads? He worked very hard collecting them (they covered up his cute shirt that said O'Connor!), he worked so hard in fact that he hasn't taken them off since. No joke - we take them off only to eat, sleep and bathe, other than that he wears all of his beads :) After the parade we had the family over for some corn beef sandwiches! We had some cupcakes and Irish Soda bread too! Overall it was a great day and we are already looking forward to sporting our green next year!

Such a H-A-M!

The boy child is turning into a huge ham these days! He is just funny and he is starting to realize that he is funny :) He loves glasses and will do anything he can to get them off your face. We laugh that he has go-go gadget arms when he wants something - I swear they grow longer! He finally pulled an old pair of my dad's glasses off the end table and we had to have some fun with him. Bj kept going "the human head weighs 8lbs" - we were laughing so hard! I am not sure about the face in the next picture, we were goofing around having a snack and I think I caught him mid-smile :) Ha! Anywho - I just had to share!

Unconditional Love

These pictures just make my heart happy, so, so very happy. They are the sweetest little friends - my Connor and my Scout. I love the unconditional love they have for each other and those around them. There really isn't anything else like it. Sigh.

Happy Birthday Momma!

This past weekend we celebrated my 28th birthday! Ah, I am getting up there :) It was a great day - my mom,Connor and I went out to lunch and ran some errands. We had a visit from Auntie G, went to the Fish Fry in the evening with the family and out to dinner on Saturday! Over all, I was spoiled rotten :)
Do you love Connor's new fish face?

I love birthdays, I always have. I just think they are so fun and so special. It is the one day out of the year to celebrate you and I think it's really fun. I can't wait to continue making birthdays fun and special for the Connor man - I think it's the way to do it! Thank you everyone for making my birthday so special - I am truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family! I can't wait to see what we get into this 28th year!

Playing Outside!

I just thought everyone NEEDED to see how cute the little guy is running around the backyard playing and pushing his car! He was a little too busy to totally pay attention to the video camera, but he does show us that he knows what the lion says! :)

Dancin' Crazy!

Warning: Crazy Momma voice in this one! Ha! Listen at your own risk :) I found some great bargains at Target and Once Upon a Child yesterday and was trying them on C. Poor guy - those shorts are 18 months and Bj said he liked his new capris!! One of these days the 18 month outfits will fit the little man :) The new polo goes with his Easter outfit and he is wearing his shirt from the day underneath! He has been a dancing fool lately - the other day he was even getting down on the ground and coming back up, it was a RIOT! He was dancing at the park earlier and I so wish I had the camera - but he does a pretty good one here!

Celebrate Fitness

Every year my mom and Mary Pat volunteer for Celebrate Fitness, another great organization raising money for breast cancer! Connor and I were really excited to be able to attend this year for the first time and we had so much fun! We did my mom's event, the fun walk and talked the whole time we did it about how we were helping raise money so that when Connor grows up there will hopefully be a cure! The Wentzville fire department was there with there pink fire truck, a part of their "Pink Tour". The truck was donated, painted pink and travels around the country (the firefighters even have pink turn-outs!) raising awareness about breast cancer. As you all know we kind of like firefighters so we were so excited to take a few dozen pictures for Uncle Bubba! The top one and the one below are our favorites. You might have to make this picture full size because it is SO STINKIN CUTE! I know I am the momma, but we just couldn't get over how cute Connor looks with his cheesy grin and hands on the wheel. We were trying to come up with some fun captions to send with the picture to Uncle Davey - our favorites were "Uncle Bubba, where are the brakes on this thing" and "Uncle Bubba, I am on my way to Montana!"
It was really sunny so my pictures didn't turn out great, but I still wanted you to get the whole picture.

He LOVED it, he was having so much fun! We were laughing about what a little ham he is turning into - our little sweet pea. He sure is cute and we kind of like him :)

The event was at Wash U and the campus is so pretty - we had to take a few pictures. Connor, with his new walking skills, wanted to walk the last little bit of the day and it is so fun. I loved the crawling stage because he looked so cute zooming all over the place but I really, really love the walking stage! We had a great day and we can't wait to do it again next year!

Heelllooooo SPRING!

I know I may be jinxing it, as it's still early - but heellloooo spring, momma has missed you! We have had the some gorgeous weather here in the Lou and I love it! It *may* have still been a little chilly the other night, but it was nice enough and light out so we ran to our long lost park! The dogs were so excited they were running around in circles and Connor was thrilled once he saw where we were :) We have missed the park so much and it was great to be back! Now hat Connor is a walking man it was really fun to see him actually play with things as opposed to last year where we really just played on the swings. Now he can walk and point to all of the places he wants to go! What else did we do this weekend? Connor, Frankie, Annie and I went swimming at the indoor pool on Friday...it was fun! I told my mom not to run upstairs if she heard screaming, it was just me putting on my swimming suit! We had an Oscar party on Sunday and Celebrate Fitness on Saturday! It was a great weekend :)

First Haircut!

We had another big first around these parts last week...Connor's first haircut! Ah, I had a little bit, scratch that A LOT of trouble with this but as I have been told it's just a part of growing up. I loved Connor's curls and I was so worried that they would go away with his first haircut, I was also a little sentimental about that being the hair he had in my belly - his first hair. Oh, I am such an emotional sap! :) But, after seeing how long his hair was in the bath one day and people repeatedly telling me how beautiful my little girl was, we decided it was time! We had to wait a little while and he was so good but got a little uneasy in the chair! He was a trooper though and I bedded the hairdresser to not take off too much. She said she would give him the "surfer boy haircut" and I think it turned out pretty cute! It was a little shorter than I would have liked, BUT the curls are still there!!!! Woo-Hoo! It took me a couple of days to adjust, but I think he looks just as handsome as can be! I think this lesson has also taught me that he will definitely have a longer, shaggier boy haircut and not a short boy haircut! I didn't get a great "after" shot, but I have more pictures coming!

NeNe and Clete winter in gulf shores every year and we missed them so much! They came home last Saturday and we were out there on Sunday to see them :) I took a few pictures of Connor while we were there and couldn't choose so I made a little slideshow :) Ha! Hope you enjoy!!
